Liana Salas
I’m a dreamcatcher. A yoga teacher. A fitness instructor. A life coach. My smile is my superpower. My mornings are chai lattes, journaling, meditation and visualization. My days are spent building strength, on my yoga mat, lifting weights, and always learning. I teach yoga sculpt and flow classes. I encourage my students to smile in challenging poses.
I believe happiness is something we create, strength is something we build, yoga & happiness are something we practice. Movement - on our yoga mats & taking courageous action - has the power to transform our lives
My Mission
“To inspire and impact people to be happier, get stronger and be empowered to make their dreams come true.”
To go from being a dream chaser to a dreamcatcher!
I realized I had been letting fear and nerves hold me back from pursuing my dreams. I know my weight and health issues subconsciously gave me an excuse not to face my fears.
I learned to take responsibility for my own life, started facing my fears and challenging myself. I developed a spiritual connection and practice that aligned with me. I learned to love myself and create happiness from within.
How it started | How it’s going now
I was overweight as a teenager and into early adulthood. It started when after completing my Bachelor’s in Psychology I lost 80 pounds and discovered the ‘when then syndrome’. When I lose weight, then I will be happy. I learned I had to transform my life from the inside out.
I found a spiritual teacher and mentor. I learned about the angels, metaphysics and the law of attraction. She introduced me to book ‘You Can Heal Your Life’ and Louise Hay’s work on affirmations, forgiveness and self-healing.
I met a life coach who introduced me to the coaching field and positive psychology. I took a nutrition class and that led me to pursue my health coach and personal training certifications. Through my fitness coursework I began strength training, which empowered me to be strong, physically and mentally. After a breakup, a friend suggested I make a 30 by 30 list and I took my first yoga class. That class changed my life. I walked to my car smiling and feeling happy. I knew in that moment yoga was the tool but I was able to change my experience. I had the power.
This ignited my personal development journey. I expanded my education in positive psychology, life coaching and yoga. I’m now working on my Masters in Happiness Studies. Some of my greatest teachers have been Mike Dooley, Jeannette Maw, Brooke Castillo, Tal Ben-Shahar, Abraham-Hicks, and Unity Spiritual Center and A Course In Miracles teachings. I believe in our power to manifest. Manifestation is spiritual, it is quantum physics, it is co-creation. I believe in the power of embodiment, visualization, alignment and action.
I hope my journey inspires you believe in yourself, dream bigger and know that anything is possible!
