Manifesting Lessons from a Lantana

Along the walkway to my front door I have red lantanas. I never thought much about plants until I became a homeowner. Lantanas do well in Phoenix. They can typically withstand the heat and with regular water they are easy to maintain.

One of the many reasons why I chose my home was because it is about a five minute drive from my favorite hiking park. I actually discovered there is another hiking park, about five minutes in the opposite direction, that I didn’t find out about until almost a year after I had lived in my home. If I ever go for a walk I typically go to one of the hiking parks. My neighbors, across the street from me, back to a small mountain. Our street wraps around the mountain and dead ends on both sides. We have our own loop. When the stay at home orders of 2020 began, I started taking daily walks on my street, as opposed to going the hiking parks

Sometime in March, on one of my walks, I noticed that one of my neighbors has a very large lantana with pink and yellow flowers. I loved the color combination. As soon as I saw them I knew that I wanted to get that color for my home.

Shortly thereafter, still sometime  in the Spring, I noticed a small plant growing in my backyard by one of my trees. We get a lot of weeds in Phoenix, but they looked different to me so I let them grow. At one point, my Dad, who often comes over to help me with yard work, even mentioned that I should pull those large weeds. I told him I felt sure they were some type of plant and not to pull them.

As the plant began to grow, I realized it was lantana. I assumed it must have started from the red lantanas I have in my front yard. One day in early September I looked out into my backyard and I saw the flowers had finally started to bloom. From a distance, and even though the flowers were still small, I could see the color. I ran outside and sure enough, the flowers were pink and yellow!

When I first saw the lantana’s in my neighbor's yard, I just loved it. I knew I was going to get some. I could have easily gone to the store that day to purchase some. I believe you can probably buy them for less than ten dollars each. I didn't try to manifest them. I didn’t spend time regularly visualizing them. I didn't say affirmations, script or act as if. This is a perfect example of how when we have a clear knowing of what we want, without any doubt, it always manifests! I saw them, loved them, and knew I was going to have them.

I first saw my neighbor’s plant sometime in March and it took until September for the flowers to bloom. Though I don’t have the exact dates, it is possible that within days of first seeing them, they started growing in my yard.

These lanterns have many powerful reminders about manifestation. I didn’t know it was a pink and yellow lantana until months after I first noticed it grow, but I had it all the time. I just didn’t know it yet! What if I or my Dad had just thought it was a weed and pulled it out? How often could the seed of our manifestation already be planted and it just needs time to grow and bloom? The universe could already be creating what we want for us, but we metaphorically pull it out of the ground by being doubtful, anxious and wondering why it hasn’t happened yet. Now I not only have my beautiful pink and yellow lantanas, but I will forever have a reminder of how the universe gifted me exactly what I wanted.

Get clear and on what you want, feel and know it is yours and give your manifestation time to bloom!
